Hi I’m Lauryn with All Access Brave New Voices 2009, a blog dedicated to reflecting the going ons on the 2009 competition.  I will be attending all of the events and keeping you up to date.   Today is July 14, 2009 and All Access attended the opening ceremony for the poets.  This was a very good experience. I got to see some of the poets perform and prep for there performances. The poets that performed were not contestants of the actual festival. A group that performed tonight were the  Half Pints from Chicago a non profit organization through Kuumba Lynx. They were the winners of the 1st elementary Slam.
