Big ups to our very own Brave New Voices poets Josh and Jamaica who will be performing today at the White House for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle.
Josh and Jamaica will be sharing the spotlight with other amazing performers such as James Earl Jones, Lin Manuel Miranda, Mayda Del Valle, Esperanza Spalding. We are so proud of Josh, Jamaica and all of our Brave New Voices poets who continue to set a powerful and inspirational example for the youth of America.
There will be a live feed of the event tonight at the following web address: www.whitehouse.gov/live. The event begins at 745pm EST. It’s an Evening of Poetry, Music and Spoken Word with Pres Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
